NEW from GDO, this smart electric aluminium roller garage door is purpose made to the millimetre and is supplied as standard with Somfy Optimo remote control operation and a wireless wall mounted Somfy button control for you to position wherever best suited in your garage

This is our new entry level ‘semi smart’ electric roller garage door with control via your smartphone and the Somfy Connectivity system. We say 'Semi Smart' because the full Smart version of this door will enable many more functions and connect with non Somfy products in your home too. This is our entry level Smart roller door which will enable the connection of RTS and IO protocol remote systems to be connected to your smarthpone app

Alexa and Hey Google voice control is also a control option for the roller door and any other Somfy products you add to the Connectivity system. Open your door when approaching your home with the voice control on your phone.

Add multiple smartphones for your family as required. No need to ever buy remote handsets again, but you do receive 2 with the standard door package.

GDO 77 insulated roller doors are manufactured in the UK for GarageDoorsOnline by the leading garage door supplier SWS/AlluGuard. Fitted with wired optical safety edge as standard.

2 Somfy RTS remote handsets and an internal wall mounted control panel are standard, along with leading safety edge detection and additional infra red beams for preventing closure onto any obstacles and full compliance with UK regulations on the use of electric operated doors with remote operation and further safety because of the Smartphone app control.

Somfy Connectivity kit included as standard to allow smartphone app door control and control of other Somfy products via your smartphone from anywhere. Alexa and Hey Google voice assistant compatible. RTS and IO protocol Somfy products can be controlled via the Connectivity kit which comes with this roller door.

Using 77mm double skinned insulated aluminium slats this roller garage door is strong and offers good insulation in the mix too.

Made to measure sizes up to a maximum width of 5200mm including the guides either side.

Maximum height available is 2900mm, plus the height of the roll and endplates which is 300mm

The aluminium side guides are either 70mm or 90mm wide, depending on the door width ordered.

Doors over 3000mm wide will have 90mm guides as standard so the clear opening width will be 180mm less than the Ordering Width.

This door curtain is available in 3 very popular standard high quality finish colours, with a choice of white, black or anthracite guides and optional hood when ordering.

The door also has an internal manual winding handle system to operate in the event of a power failure, situated alongside the motor drive, which you can choose the side for operation when ordering. Optional low level manual override is available if you do not have another access door into your garage.

No Hood, Half Hood or Full Hood?

As standard this door has no hood cover and when fitting fully behind your garage opening you may decide to leave the curtain roll exposed.

Choose an optional half hood cover to provide you with an aluminium fascia if you are installing underneath a lintel or when installing behind a lintel and there is insufficient headroom and you need to cloak the exposed section from outside.

A full hood cover provides the best protection for the curtain rolled up inside your garage and also minimises weather ingress.
The half or full hood cover will be finished in the same colour as your door curtain. If you require a different colour then please email or call us for options and pricing.

External Keyswitch

If you often access your garage from outside or have no pedestrian access to the garage then choose a wall mounted external keyswitch. Simple key operation in either direction with the impulse only for opening. Security keys and steel housing.

Roll77 slat profile

The GDO ROLL 77 is constructed from high quality 77mm deep double skinned aluminium slats with a foam filled core. It is a made to measure, electric operated roller garage door as standard, made to the exact millimetre in width and height.

The door is electrically remote operated as standard and incorporates an internal emergency manual release in case of a power failure. This is a winding process using a winding handle provided attaching via a hook to the eye of the motor drive. This can be specified as either on the left or right as viewed from inside the garage.

The door is supplied with 2 remote handsets and an internal wall mounted control panel with inbuilt receiver for the remote controls.
The bottom slat is extruded and supplied fitted with a rubber seal system incorporating an infra red beam internally. Any obstacle is detected when the door is operating and the door will instantly stop to prevent damage or injury.

The curtain of this door rolls around a steel barrel which is supported either side by steel endplates which have a dimension of 300mm x 300mm, which is the headroom required if you wish to hide the roll. Always allow for a maximum 50mm of curtain ‘hang down’ when the door is opened if the opening height is critical to you. This is the same on all roller garage doors.

Door guides either side are either 70mm or 90mm wide and 34mm deep and the door is ordered using the ‘OVERGUIDE’ width from the total width of the curtain and guides combined.

The door can be fitted BEHIND or INBETWEEN the structural opening as required, but always check you have ordered the correct dimensions to take into account the guides and endplates (full hood cover if ordered is the same dimensions)

Ordering size is the Over Guide Width (OGW) x Guide Height (GH).

Doors up to 3000mm wide will have 70mm wide guides either side

1.1.1. GDO Roll 55 and Roll 77 Electric Button Control roller garage doors are guaranteed against defect of material or workmanship by the manufacturer with a parts only warranty for a period of 2 years from the date of original purchase.

1.1.2. GDO Roll 55 and Roll 77 Electric Button Control roller garage doors’ exterior finish is guaranteed to provide an effective weatherproof membrane that will resist perforation of the substrate from the weather side due to corrosion for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase.

1.1.3. Externally fitted reverse roll GDO Roll 55 and Roll 77 Electric Button Control roller garage doors will resist perforation of the substrate from the weather side due to corrosion for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase. Colour change or fade to the exterior surface will be limited and uniform during the guarantee.

1.1.4. GDO Roll 55 and Roll 77 Electric Button Control motors and the Genesis, Teleco Simple and C10 control units are guaranteed for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase.

1.1.5. Somfy motors and the Rollixo control unit are guaranteed for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase.

1.2. This guarantee is in addition to your legal rights in addition to the manufacturers products that may be faulty or not as described. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau or Trading Standards Office.

1.3. The following terms apply to all GDO Roll 55 and Roll 77 Electric Button Control roller garage doors purchased for installation in the UK. The terms shall prevail or be in addition to any agreement between you, the customer, the installer and/or the manufacturer.

1.4. The manufacturer will replace any components of our products sold as GDO Roll 55 and Roll 77 Electric Button Control roller garage doors (‘the Product’) where the manufacturing process has resulted in a defect occurring during the relevant period specified in the Conditions of Guarantee.
