Why Button Control?
We have spoken to many homeowners recently and it is becoming obvious that so many electric garage doors are being fitted, but they are either detached garages or single size garages used as an extra room to the house. The RAC published details recently of a survey which showed over 60% of people do not put vehicles in their garages, instead using them as a convenient extra room for many purposes.
The point here then is why would you need ‘remote control’ if you are opening and closing your garage door whilst accessing on foot? You really don’t need a remote control door and a convenient and simple wall mounted internal push button and/or an external key switch unit is far more appropriate.
Our range of simple push button controlled electric roller garage doors offer the simplest operation and do not require any safety sensors, which are not only extra cost, but also need maintenance over time.
Choose from either the simplest internal wall mounted push button which you simply press and hold to operate in either direction. Our second choice is supplied with an internal control panel and an optional external wall mounted, hard wired key switch to operate your roller door using a key for either direction. This door is ‘semi automatic’,
Choose the internal control panel, ‘semi automatic’ model and you can have both controls as well as the control panel itself, so now 2 points of control internally AND the control panel can give you an impulse control for the opening cycle. Just push for a second and leave it to open.

Remote Control Operation
Our GDO ROLL 77 range offers several options for remote control operation, which is still a very popular control method for any electric garage door. The ROLL 55 range has one option with remote control and 2 handsets and remains a very popular choice for single size garages.
We offer as standard 2 handsets for our models and there is a choice of either the Somfy Optimo or Somfy Rollixo Premium system. The Optimo is a simple control panel to enable the use of Somfy Keytis remote controls, safety edge detection, infra red beams and also the Smart Connectivity kit which is in our Smart Control Range.
The Rollixo Premium control panel has more features, including a built-in courtesy light, which is programmable on the timing for automatically turning the light off after turning on when the door is operated. There is a built in alarm system for alerting if the door curtain is tampered with and lifted in any way. The Rollixo also offers an auto close facility, which can be set from a few seconds or up to 2 minutes and will close the door for you if left open.
For this facility you need the infra red beam safety as well as the edge detection to be compliant with regulations in the UK.
We also offer the Rollixo Premium with either the standard RTS protocol or the IO protocol, which is more future proof if you are looking to use more smart home control products. The IO protocol offers 2 way communication, so it can tell you your door position if you choose to have the smart phone app and Somfy smart integration.

Smart App Control
Control your roller garage door from your smartphone? Why? Maybe because you already have at least one home appliance with an app on your phone? Ring doorbell, Philipps Hue lighting, Sonos, electric window blinds, an app for your electric car, or any of many other smartphone controlled devices.
If you are already used to controlling things by your phone then your electric garage door will be no different and benefit from many other features and scenarios you maybe hadn’t even considered?
Our Smart control roller garage doors use either the Somfy Connectivity interface or the far more advanced Somfy Tahoma Switch. We offer these roller doors complete with 2 remote handsets as standard (per door) and as a back up or for placing in your car. Whichever option you choose for the interface you will control the doors via the Somfy Tahoma app, which is free and a very simple app to use which will also integrate with many other products, especially if you use the Tahoma Switch system.
