The GDO ROLL range is one of our latest developments for 2024 and is a range of insulated, aluminium, electric operated, roller shutter doors, all made to order for the perfect fit every time.

We have taken the best of the many models sold over many years and made a simple range with simple options to choose from and guaranteed quality and reliability.

The ROLL range consists of either the ROLL55 or the ROLL77 currently, offering 2 curtain options mainly depending on size choice:

The ROLL 55 is constructed from 55mm double skinned aluminum slats to create the curtain of the door, with a central foam core and a choice of several standard colours. This curtain type is limited to a maximum width of 3000mm and a maximum height of 2150mm.

The ROLL 77 is constructed from larger, 77mm deep, double skinned slats, also with a central foam core and profiled front face. This slat is obviously stronger and can be ordered in widths up to 5200mm wide and 2650mm high.

Both roller doors are offered with either a standard button control or with remote handsets and the safety devices required by law for remote control operation.

Why Button Control?

We have spoken to many end users recently and it is becoming obvious that so many electric garage doors are being fitted but they are either detached garages or garages used as an extra room to the house. The RAC published details recently of a survey which showed over 60% of people do not put vehicles in their garages, instead using them as a convenient extra room for many purposes.

The point is why do you need ‘remote control’ if you are opening and closing your garage door whilst on foot? You really don’t need remote control and a convenient wall mounted internal push button and/or an external key switch unit is far more appropriate. Quite honestly, you know if the remote handset isn’t kept in your car, then you are probably going to lose it in your house.

Our range of ‘button’ controlled electric roller garage doors offer the simplest operation and do not require any safety sensors, which are not only extra cost but also need maintaining on many doors and with the cheapest roller doors will most likely cause you operational issues over time.

Choose either the simplest internal wall mounted push button which you simply press and hold to operate in either direction. You can then also choose an external wall mounted and hard wired key switch to operate your roller door using a key for either direction.

Choose the internal control panel and you can have both controls as well as the control panel itself, so now 2 points of control internally AND the control panel can give you an impulse control for the opening cycle. Just push for a second and leave it to open.

Our remote control roller door options offer the standard 2 remote handsets and wall mounted receiver and control panel for internal operation.

Supplied with a bottom edge safety sensor your roller door will stop and reverse a short distance if any obstacle is met during the closing cycle.

The remote system is a Teleco Simple control unit featuring built-in push buttons and other programmable functions to help in uneven floors.
