Roller door - insulated Aluminium GEAR TYPE: Roller Shutter

Using the most popular size of double walled aluminium insulated slats this roller door is a robust design but very simple operation method using only a hold to run internal wall mounted control panel.

Press and hold one button for open and one button for closing, that is it - no remote controls, no infra red beams, no bottom edge safety sensors, just a simple hold to run control, ideal for when you don’t use your garage very much or the garage is entered on foot all the time and is perhaps integral to the house.

NEW from GDO, this aluminium double skinned insulated roller garage door keeps life simple, but also is fully compliant with UK regulations on the use of electric operated doors and makes sense if you don’t come in and out your garage with a vehicle every day. If you have an integral garage right next to your home then this is a door for you.

If you are not bothered about remote control operation and your garage is integral or always entered on foot, then this might be the perfect door for you? A simple, neat wall mounted control panel gives you buttons to raise and lower the door without the need for electronic safety systems such as infra red beams or bottom edge sensors.

GDO insulated roller doors are manufactured in the UK by the leading garage door supplier SWS/ AlluGuard. Their decades of manufacturing experience ensure only the highest quality materials and production techniques are used, whilst the simplified design helps keep costs as competitive as possible.

Made to measure sizes up to a maximum width of 5200mm including the guides either side.
Maximum height is 2900mm plus the height of the roll and endplates which is 300mm
The side channel guides are either 70mm or 90mm depending on the door width ordered.
Doors over 3000mm wide will have 90mm guides as standard so the clear opening width will be 180mm less than the ordering width.

The door curtain is available in 3 very popular and striking colours with white, black or anthracite guides and hood when ordered.

The door also has an internal manual winding handle system to operate in the event of a power failure. Optional low level manual override is available if you do not have another access door into your garage. If you don’t have another access however you also should consider the external wall mounted key switch to operate the door from outside normally.

This no hood cover model is perfect if your roller door is fitting totally behind the structural opening and is higher than 2.1m.

The ‘half hood’ version of this roller door has a folded aluminium hood cover which forms a front facia when fitting behind or inbetween any opening to give a neat finish and better sealing when closed and the internal headroom isn't enough to completely hide the curtain roll. The hood cover is fitted to the endplates on either side of the roller barrel which the curtain rolls around.

Domestic and light commercial button operated electric roller door with 240V tube motor

Roll77 slat profile

The GDO ROLL 77 is constructed from high quality 77mm deep double skinned aluminium slats with a foam filled core. It is a made to measure, electric operated roller garage door as standard, made to the exact millimetre in width and height.

The door is electrically operated as standard and incorporates an internal emergency manual release in case of a power failure. This is a winding process using a winding handle provided attaching via a hook to the eye of the motor drive. This can be specified as either on the left or right as viewed from inside the garage.

The curtain of this door rolls around a steel barrel which is supported either side by steel endplates which have a dimension of 300mm x 300mm, which is the headroom required if you wish to hide the roll. Always allow for a maximum 50mm of curtain ‘hang down’ when the door is opened if the opening height is critical to you. This is the same on all roller garage doors.

Door guides either side are either 70mm or 90mm wide and 34mm deep and the door is ordered using the ‘OVERGUIDE’ width from the total width of the curtain and guides combined.

The door can be fitted BEHIND or INBETWEEN the structural opening as required, but always check you have ordered the correct dimensions to take into account the guides and endplates (full hood cover if ordered is the same dimensions)

Ordering size is the Over Guide Width (OGW) x Guide Height (GH).

Doors up to 3000mm wide will have 70mm wide guides either side
Clear opening width = Ordering size less 140mm
Clear opening height = Guide height (Ordering size) less 50mm

Doors over 3000mm wide will have 90mm wide guides either side
Clear opening width = Ordering size less 180mm
Clear opening height = Guide height (Ordering size) less 50mm
(to allow for the bottom slat hang-down into the guide when door is open)

Maximum Width including guides is 5200mm
Maximum Height for guides is 2900mm (Total of 3200mm with the endplates and hood) with a maximum width of 4600mm
