Q: How safe are the electric operated doors?

A:

A: All the remote control electric doors we sell are fully compliant with all the latest regulations and are CE marked. Many roller garage doors are sold on the internet which are not compliant with regulations and cannot meet the machinery directive or CE standard as they only use an infra red beam for safety and not a leading edge safety detection sensor.Please make sure you know exactly what you are buying when it comes to an electric garage door as they can be very dangerous if not specified and installed correctly and are viewed as a 'machine' in general terms. A machine that can be operated by remote control is obviously even more dangerous if the correct safety systems are in place and working correctly.

Too many doors are sold still without the basic safety mechanisms included to comply with UK regulations.

Q: Can I buy products from you on a credit account?

A:

Yes, we have many trade account customers and if you buy doors in quantity we can potentially offer further savings on most of the products. Simply fill in our 'Trade Application form' and tell us a bit about what you want to purchase and the quantities and we will get back to you with an offer.

Q: Do you deliver products outside the UK?

A:

Yes. The price for this service is based on the weight and size of each item as required. We can deliver most products anywhere in the world and the products are packaged accordingly.

Please Note: Deliveries will be made by carrier and arrangements for the correct paperwork etc will be the customers' responsibility.

Q: How do I find out the delivery time for the doors?

A:

Visit our Delivery Page for up-to-date delivery times from the manufacturers, we will also confirm any delays here too.
Bear in mind we will always try for an earlier delivery if required and if the product is in stock it can also be collected by special arrangement. Deliveries are always affected around bank holidays and Christmas/New Year as many products come from German factories if they are made to order particularly.

Q: How bad is the damage on the clearance doors?

A:

A: We take a simple view on damaged doors - if it is bad enough for us to completely reject we will destroy the door - so if they are damaged it is never that bad. A good clean or restain on timber doors and they will usually look as good as new, small scratches on steel doors can be T cut using a car paintwork system. GRP doors with scratches can be touched up with shoe polish appropriate to the shade of door colour. A lot of the doors have simply been in stock for a longer period of time than usual because they are odd sizes or colours but will always clean up perfectly ok.

Of course many of the clearance doors are brand new and will be identified as such in the description.

Q: Are the garage doors easy to install?

A:

Most of the various garage doors featured on our website have been specifically chosen or even tweaked over the many years we have sold doors to be the very best and usually the easiest for installation too.

The Up and Over and Side Hinged Doors are mainly offered complete with a pre-fitted factory steel or aluminium sub frame, with all the relevant mechanism, hinges, locking and furniture also fitted from the factory. (not for double width doors).

This means when the doors are delivered to you they are ready to offer up into the opening and simply install the frame and then set up the final spring balance or hinge adjustments. The Entrance and Side doors we offer are the same with pre fitted sub frame and all parts fitted as one unit ready to fit and always built to factory standards.

The Roller Garage Doors are chosen for their high quality and also because they are the easiest to install with the simplest set up process.

The Sectional Garage Doors are possible one of the harder installation but mainly because they have more tracking and assembly requires a 3 dimensional aspect with the vertical and horizontal door action. However once again our doors have been chosen for their predrilled panels and high quality tracking and mechanisms. The electric operators practically set themselves up once fitted to the main door.

The round the corner doors are possibly a professional installation because of their very tight tolerances and need to level accuracy.
