Using the most popular size of double walled aluminium insulated slats this electric roller door is a robust design but very simple operation method using only a hold to run internal wall mounted control panel.

Press one button for open and press and hold one button for closing, that is it - no remote controls, no infra red beams, no bottom edge safety sensors, just a simple hold to run control, ideal for when you don’t use your garage very much or the garage is entered on foot all the time and is perhaps integral to the house.

NEW from GDO this roller door keeps life simple but also is fully compliant with regulations on the use of electric operated doors.

If you are not bothered about remote control operation and your garage is integral or always entered on foot then this might be the door for you? A simple, neat wall mounted control panel gives you buttons to raise and lower the door without the need for electronic safety systems such as infra red beams or bottom edge sensors.

A hold to run wall mounted control box gives you the door control internally and you can also have an external keyswitch for operating the door from outside if required (hard wired).

Made to measure sizes up to a maximum width of 5200mm including the guides either side.

Maximum height is 2900mm plus the height of the roll and endplates which is 300mm

The side channel guides are either 70mm or 90mm depending on the door width ordered.

Doors over 3000mm wide will have 90mm guides as standard so the clear opening width will be 180mm less than the ordering width.

Available in 4 very popular and striking colours with white guides and hood when ordered.

The door also has an internal manual winding handle system to operate in the event of a power failure. In basic terms this roller door is not one to use if you have any concerns over security with your garage. It has basic locking straps on the barrel but no form of additional security.

Roll77 slat profile

The GDO ROLL 77 is constructed from high quality 77mm deep double skinned aluminium slats with a foam filled core. It is a made to measure roller garage door as standard.

The door is electrically operated as standard and incorporates an internal emergency manual release in case of a power failure. This is a winding process using a winding handle provided attaching via a hook to the eye of the motor drive. This can be specified as either on the left or right as viewed from inside the garage.

The curtain of this door rolls around a steel barrel which is supported either side by steel endplates which have a dimension of 205mm x 205mm, which is the headroom required if you wish to hide the roll. Always allow for a maximum 50mm of curtain ‘hang down’ when the door is opened if the opening height is critical to you. This is the same on all roller garage doors.

Door guides either side are either 70mm or 90mm wide and 34mm deep and the door is ordered using the ‘OVERGUIDE’ width from the curtain and guides combined.

The door can be fitted BEHIND or INBETWEEN the structural opening as required but always check you have order the correct dimensions to take into account the guides and endplates (full hood cover if ordered is the same dimensions)

Ordering size is the Over Guide Width (OGW) x Guide Height (GH).

Doors up to 3000mm wide will have 70mm wide guides

Doors over 3000mm wide will have 90mm wide guides

Clear opening width = Ordering size - 180mm

Clear opening height = guide height - 50mm

1.1. The following guarantees apply to GDO Roll 55 and Roll 77 Electric Button Control roller garage doors, subject to correct installation, maintenance and operation:

1.1.1. GDO Roll 55 and Roll 77 Electric Button Control roller garage doors are guaranteed against defect of material or workmanship by the manufacturer with a parts only warranty for a period of 2 years from the date of original purchase.

1.1.2. GDO Roll 55 and Roll 77 Electric Button Control roller garage doors’ exterior finish is guaranteed to provide an effective weatherproof membrane that will resist perforation of the substrate from the weather side due to corrosion for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase.

1.1.3. Externally fitted reverse roll GDO Roll 55 and Roll 77 Electric Button Control roller garage doors will resist perforation of the substrate from the weather side due to corrosion for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase. Colour change or fade to the exterior surface will be limited and uniform during the guarantee.

1.1.4. GDO Roll 55 and Roll 77 Electric Button Control motors and the Genesis, Teleco Simple and C10 control units are guaranteed for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase.

1.1.5. Somfy motors and the Rollixo control unit are guaranteed for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase.

1.2. This guarantee is in addition to your legal rights in addition to the manufacturers products that may be faulty or not as described. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau or Trading Standards Office.

1.3. The following terms apply to all GDO Roll 55 and Roll 77 Electric Button Control roller garage doors purchased for installation in the UK. The terms shall prevail or be in addition to any agreement between you, the customer, the installer and/or the manufacturer.

1.4. The manufacturer will replace any components of our products sold as GDO Roll 55 and Roll 77 Electric Button Control roller garage doors (‘the Product’) where the manufacturing process has resulted in a defect occurring during the relevant period specified in the Conditions of Guarantee.
