In terms of a good quality steel up and over you don't have to look a lot further than the Hormann Series 2000 UK range of doors. It is generally a little more expensive than others but this far outweighs the differences with others.
They were launched over 20 years ago in the UK and capture all the best engineering that a German steel product always has and in many totally standard sizes the door can be one of the better prices too. The door is constructed using high quality galvanised steel box sections for the chassis and the panel for the design is inserted into this chassis to produce a very rigid, high quality steel up and over garage door with a 10 year guarantee and a factory paint finish as standard.
The Hormann range is only available in standard sizes with no purpose made option, but the sizes offered cover pretty much every garage opening. The best feature potentially is that the door is delivered with all the operating gear factory fitted and if the optional steel box section fixing frame is ordered that is also pre installed and delivered ready for very easy installation into the structural opening.
A range of options are available including colours, extra locking for higher security, windows in some doors, canopy and retractable operating gear and a range of high quality handle sets. Weatherseals, electric operators and insulation kits are also available when required.
