Using the most popular 77mm double walled aluminium insulated slats this roller door is a robust design, but very simple operation method using only an internal wall mounted control panel and optional external key switch to open and close the door.
Push the button once for opening and push and hold for closing cycle, simple operation from inside and from outside use an external wall mounted key switch. Ideal for when you don’t use your garage very often or the garage is always entered on foot all the time and is perhaps also integral to the house.

NEW from GDO, this aluminium, double skinned, insulated roller garage door keeps life simple, but also is fully compliant with UK regulations on the use of electric operated doors and makes perfect sense if you don’t come in and out your garage with a vehicle every day. If you have an integral garage right next to your home with a pedestrian access door, then this is a roller door for you.
If you are not bothered about remote control operation and your garage is integral or always entered on foot, then this might be the perfect door for you? A simple, neat wall mounted control panel gives you buttons to raise and lower the door without the need for electronic safety systems such as infra red beams or bottom edge sensors.
Simply hold the button until fully closed, but a simple short press of the button to raise the door fully and automatically - hence 'semi-automatic' status.
Installation of this simple electric roller door is as easy as it gets as there are no complex electronics to set up.
GDO insulated roller doors are manufactured in the UK for Garage Doors Online by the leading garage door supplier SWS/AlluGuard. Made to measure sizes up to a maximum width of 5200mm including the guides either side. Maximum height is 2900mm plus the height of the roll and endplates which is 300mm. The side channel guides are either 70mm or 90mm depending on the door width ordered. Doors over 3000mm wide will always have 90mm guides as standard, so the clear opening width will be 180mm less than the ordering width.
The door curtain is available in 3 very popular and striking high quality powdercoated colours with white, black or anthracite guides and optional half or full hood when ordered in a matching colour. If you require a different colour for the guides or hood then please email or call us.
The door also has an internal manual winding handle system to operate in the event of a power failure. You can order an external wall mounted key switch for door operation externally, but also still have the internal controls. We would also suggest you order the external manual low level release in case of a power failure if you have no other means of garage access.
It is also possible to always upgrade this electric roller door at any time in the future with various control panels and access control methods. You have the basic electric door with basic control, but can always change if your garage changes, or you want other control methods in the future.

No Hood, Half Hood or Full Hood?
As standard this door has no hood cover and when fitting fully behind your garage opening you may decide to leave the curtain roll exposed.
Choose an optional half hood cover to provide you with an aluminium fascia if you are installing underneath a lintel or when installing behind a lintel and there is insufficient headroom and you need to cloak the exposed section from outside.
A full hood cover provides the best protection for the curtain rolled up inside your garage and also minimises weather ingress.
External Keyswitch
If you often access your garage from outside or have no pedestrian access to the garage then choose a wall mounted external keyswitch. Simple key operation in either direction with the impulse only for opening. Security keys and steel housing.
You can have another wall mounted push button to fit in another location inside to your control panel button controls.
The GDO ROLL 77 is constructed from high quality 77mm deep double skinned aluminium slats with a foam filled core. It is a made to measure, electric operated roller garage door as standard, made to the exact millimetre in width and height.

The door is supplied with 2 remote handsets and an internal wall mounted control panel with inbuilt receiver for the remote controls. The Genesis wall mounted control system dimensions are 140mm h x 120mm w x 50mm d.
The bottom slat is extruded and supplied fitted with a rubber seal system incorporating an infra red beam internally. Any obstacle is detected when the door is operating and the door will instantly stop to prevent damage or injury.
The curtain of this door rolls around a steel barrel which is supported either side by steel endplates which have a dimension of 300mm x 300mm, which is the headroom required if you wish to hide the roll. Always allow for a maximum 50mm of curtain ‘hang down’ when the door is opened if the opening height is critical to you. This is the same on all roller garage doors.
This is the full hood cover version of the ROLL 77 offering a completely enclosed curtain and barrel for additonal weather protection and an aluminium fascia because you don't have the full headroom required in your garage internally, or you are installing inbetween your structural opening. The full hood ensures the best protection of your door curtain and the best sealing against wind and rain.

Door guides either side are either 70mm or 90mm wide and 34mm deep and the door is ordered using the ‘OVERGUIDE’ width from the total width of the curtain and guides combined.
The door can be fitted BEHIND or INBETWEEN the structural opening as required, but always check you have ordered the correct dimensions to take into account the guides and endplates (full hood cover if ordered is the same dimensions)

Single and double garage door sizes are catered for meaning almost all requirements can be met. This makes it highly practical for owners of 4x4 vehicles or similar cars of a large nature who otherwise find problems driving into their garage. This installation style can be used to install the door externally, however, this will cause the motor handing and curtain to be reversed.

1.1.1.GDO Roll 55 and Roll 77 Electric Button Control roller garage doors are guaranteed against defect of material or workmanship by the manufacturer with a parts only warranty for a period of 2 years from the date of original purchase.
1.1.2.GDO Roll 55 and Roll 77 Electric Button Control roller garage doors’ exterior finish is guaranteed to provide an effective weatherproof membrane that will resist perforation of the substrate from the weather side due to corrosion for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase.
1.1.3.Externally fitted reverse roll GDO Roll 55 and Roll 77 Electric Button Control roller garage doors will resist perforation of the substrate from the weather side due to corrosion for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase. Colour change or fade to the exterior surface will be limited and uniform during the guarantee.
1.1.4.GDO Roll 55 and Roll 77 Electric Button Control motors and the Genesis, Teleco Simple and C10 control units are guaranteed for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase.
1.1.5.Somfy motors and the Rollixo control unit are guaranteed for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase.
1.2.This guarantee is in addition to your legal rights in addition to the manufacturers products that may be faulty or not as described. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau or Trading Standards Office.
1.3.The following terms apply to all GDO Roll 55 and Roll 77 Electric Button Control roller garage doors purchased for installation in the UK. The terms shall prevail or be in addition to any agreement between you, the customer, the installer and/or the manufacturer.
1.4.The manufacturer will replace any components of our products sold as GDO Roll 55 and Roll 77 Electric Button Control roller garage doors (‘the Product’) where the manufacturing process has resulted in a defect occurring during the relevant period specified in the Conditions of Guarantee.
